Nikki Quayle

Nikki hosts the Happy Monday show every Monday afternoon from 

2-3pm followed by the Black and Blue show from 3-4pm which 

showcases all genres of black music and blues from Manchester to Mississippi, sitar to ska featuring the best artists from past and present.  Nikki is also a member of Team Tuesday together with Eileen and the “Pink Ladies” along with Dawn and Eileen and  broadcast a monthly  wellbeing magazine style show “Sugar and Spice”.Although she hails from Liverpool originally, she has lived in Durham for forty years.  She has been a teacher for most of her working life and has worked in India and Switzerland. Nikki enjoys meeting people and has always loved music so volunteering at DHR is a real thrill for her. Nikki enjoys a variety of music from classical, rock, blues, folk, country & western and world music, with 60s and 70s music a particular favourite.
