Roland Robinson

Background

Roland, a retired mental nurse, enjoys meeting patients on the wards 

and assisting them to connect to Durham Hospitals Radio, and even better 

playing them a song that they may not have heard for years.   A volunteer with DHR for 10 years Roland enjoys folk and new roots music and presents a folk hour on DHR.  His musical tastes include The Dunwells, Happy Cats, Daisy Hill, Alistair Griffin and Show of Hands amongst many others.  You can find Roland on air on Friday nights assisting with the request show.
