Background

Ian joined DHR in 1995 after replying to an advert in the local 

paper. A local lad who has connections with the hospital spanning his lifetime.  He was born in the old Dryburn Hospital, his mother was a ward sister there many moons ago, and he has also been a dedicated volunteer at the hospital for over twenty five years.  Also, his son was born in the new University Hospital of North Durham shortly after it opened and his day job with the council regularly brings contact with the hospital and the hospital chaplaincy in particular.
